It's possible to have a combi day: Dogsledding (3h), warm lunch on the farm, ice fishing (2h) How to catch fish under ice? Around Farm Backsjön are many lakes with fish to catch. It's always to catch a fish, but with fishing under ice you can't see the fish , only you feel when a fish is close. Therefore ice fishing is focus on feelings in a great silent winter scene. Some people see it also as a form of meditation, you go into yourself. Hasse, our fishing guide, will show you different technics. Hasse decides which lake and spot will fit to the weather of the day and the experience of you.
Before you go on the ice you will get instructions about security.
On the ice you will make holes through the ice
Hasse will show you different technics how to get a fish.
After catching a fish, Hasse can help you to release the fish from the hook.
Warm coffee/tea will be on the spot and a fire to go to when you get cold.
During the 3 hours ice fishing experience a fika or easy lunch will be served.
During the 5 hours ice fishing experience a fika and a warm lunch will be served.

Special requirements

Dress yourself warm, the best is warm clothing with windprotection. Wear a warm hat and take with an extra pair of gloves in case they get wet during fishing.

Restrictions

You are not allowed to bring your own food on our property.

Extras

Extend your icefishing experience with 2 hours, where you will go by snowmobile to different lakes further from the farm.
Close your day with a Nordic grill and storytelling about fishing will surely be one of the ingredeënts.

Cancellations Booking procedure: After you booked via email or phone, you get a confirmation and an invoice of the total cost. After payment is received, your booking is valid. Each participant must take out their own travel insurance and cancellation insurance. Lack of snow, extreme spring flood, fire or other circumstances beyond Farm Backsjöns control, what Farm Backsjön couldn't reasonably expect when the reservation was made, entitling Farm Backsjön to terminate the contract without providing compensation in any form. Nor can Backsjön support held guilty of any strikes. Each participant must respect the rules and safety procedures. If any person violates the general rules, we are entitled to charge a fee to cover costs. Cancellation after a valid booking it will be refundable on production of a medical certificate, otherwise a voucher will be sended by email for the total sum.
Cancellations 29-15 days before arrival will be charged 50% of the total cost.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival will be charged 100%.
All cancellations must be in writing. Payment shall be made by bank transfer, swish or online payment possibilities.
